Have Your Say: Is your contracting business building into something you could sell?

IR35 Test

Are you building a sustainable business in your contracting? The capital gains tax issue becomes important if you are.

Many of us do. We often are able to turn what was initially a project-based business into one that is more like a traditional small business. Some of us acquire intellectual property along the way. Others find a unique service that they can sell to a very broad client base.

As the business grows, you might eventually want to sell it, and so you should be glad that the capital gains tax on such sales has been reduced.

If you are building a sustainable business, why not share your success with other contractors? Tell us about it.
