Has social networking become important in your business?

Do you find yourself getting leads from LinkedIn, or ideas from Facebook or any of the other new media? What about the Second Life and other virtual world stuff?

Some contractors are telling us they are managing to find good contacts and leads via these networks. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I've been using LinkedIn quite a lot over the past year. It's much better now the network is larger. I've had a couple of people contact me for potential roles, but I've not been available.

I can't see Facebook or Second Life helping as much as LinkedIn though.
