As the economic climate worsens, on-the-ball contractors will be using every tool available to find new contracts. Recruiters are already exploiting mobile phone technology to match the ideal candidate with the right position and integrating leading firms in the mobile telephony space into the process.
We recently reported on recruitment advertising campaigns run by consultancy TMP Worldwide that used SMS technology to engage with contractors seeking work. As the networks upgrade to true mobile broadband and handset technology catches-up, mobile phones will become another source of new contracts for contractors.
