Post budget seminars on IR591 & IR35

Small businesses, freelancers and their advisers are invited to attend a series of seminars to find out about the Chancellor's new plans, due to be announced in the Budget, to ensure that small, owner-managed companies pay 'the right amount of tax'.

There has been much speculation - and concern - in the small business community about the Chancellor's planned announcement, known as IR591, although the details will not be known until March 17, 2004.

Tax specialists Qdos Consulting and Shout99, the freelancers' online network, have put together a team of experts to explain what it means and what small businesses should do under the new regime. These are the first - and so far only - seminars which have been arranged to analyse the Chancellor’s decision after it is known. It will also cover other issues affecting freelancers.

The seminars are for freelancers, contractors, their accountants, agency personnel and any other advisors and experts who are involved in advising freelancers and small businesses.

The seminars will be held in: 23 March - Aberdeen, Best Western Westhill Hotel; 24 March - Kendal, Best Western Castle Green Hotel; 25 March - Leeds, Ramada Leeds Parkway; 30 March - London, Ramada Jarvis, London West, Ealing Common; 01 April - Bristol, Ramada Plaza; 06 April - Leicester, Best Western Belmont House Time:5:00pm to 7:30pm (registration 4:30pm) Aberdeen, Kendal, Leeds, Bristol, Leicester; 6:00pm to 8:30pm (registration 5:30pm) London.
