Does contracting and family life balance out well for you?
One of the big advantages of contracting is that you can structure your working life so that it doesn't interfere as much with your family life as a permanent job would do.
But we all have to work really hard these days, and often the demands of business get in the way of spending time with spouses and children. Contracting should make it a bit easier to save time for family, but one does have to earn a living.
