Welcome to the May 2007 edition of our Contractor NewsCast. Recent news has been dominated by the new Managed Service Company Legislation. There is controversy surrounding the ambiguity of the definition of a service company. The Conservatives opened a parliamentary debate on the subject and continue to try and defend contractors. The PCG launches a new One-Stop product for contractors, and continues its assistance to the construction industry, helping to alleviate the pain and confusion surrounding the new CIS scheme.
